With all the administrative, educational, and technical processes that are part of the TCM learning experience, we want to clarify whom to contact when you have questions or encounter issues. The purpose of this guide is to provide a clear overview of who can help you in any situation you might face.
Note: Please try to avoid writing simply to the last person you talked to or writing to someone simply because you know them personally.
Guides
Before you send an email, check the guides available on the website here. Before you send an email, check the guides available on the website here. These guides contain solutions to many common problems you might face. Note: the only exception is if you need to contact the professor about course matters.
Administrative Processes
Student services – You can contact Student Services with general questions on academics, reinstatement, or the Student Management System
Registration – You can write here with questions about course registration and course planning
Registrar – You can contact the Registrar concerning advanced standing, program planning, advising, substitutions, grade questions, graduation, academic leave, grievance, etc.
Note: If you are not sure who to contact, start with Student Services.
Classes
If you have any questions about the course content, assignments, due dates, etc., please first check the syllabus, as it should contain most of the answers.
If you still have questions, please contact the professor. The name and the email of your professor are always listed on top of the Moodle course and at the top of the syllabus.
If you have any technical problems, please first check the guides. If you cannot find the answer, contact the Help Desk Coordinator.
Technical processes
With all technical issues, please write directly to the Help Desk Coordinator, whether it is about logging in, Moodle, Microsoft Services, or anything else.
Note: If you need assistance with the Student Management System, contact the Help Desk Coordinator for technical issues and Student Services for academic and administrative issues.
Travel and fees
Please write to the Haus Edelweiss Office Manager concerning fees for the Austrian courses, travel to the Austrian campus, and reimbursement for that travel.
If you need documents for an Austrian visa (such as letter of invitation or proof of purpose), please contact the Student Services.
For questions concerning classes at regional mentoring centers (such as travel, payment, schedule, etc.), you can contact the Regional Representative for the country in which you want to take a course. To do this, please use the contact form on the TCM website (choose “Site Coordinator” in the “Department” dropdown).
Other
You can contact the Librarian with all questions concerning the TCM Library or finding reading resources.
Official complaints by students or other constituents may be made in writing to the Registrar, or the Chief Academic Officer.
