The information provided here applies to the use, sharing and disclosure of your personal information by TCMII as part of the admissions process.
3. What personal information will be processed?
For applicants to TCMII certificate and/or degree program and for registrants to courses: TCMII will use the details you provide on your application/registration, supporting documents requested in the application/registration process plus additional details provided by anyone providing personal references.
4. What is the purpose of information processing?
TCMII will process the personal information provided on your application/registration and the other information referred to above for the purposes of identifying you, processing your application/registration, verifying the information provided, deciding whether to offer you a place for the program/course you have applied for, and communicating that outcome.
We may also use or disclose the information provided:
• To prevent or detect fraud
• To help TCMII make reasonable adjustments for any disability requested by you • To allow us to consider any future accommodation requirements
• To provide information required by accreditation officials and/or legislation • For research and statistical purposes, but no information which could identify you will be published
TCMII considers the processing of your personal information for the above purposes to be either necessary for your admission/registration, or necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. TCMII requires you to provide the information requested during the application/registration process to assess your application properly. Admission decisions are not automated.
5. With whom will my personal information be shared?
As well as circulating your application/registration and related materials to the appropriate staff at TCMII, we will share your personal information for the above purposes as relevant and necessary with:
• Regional Representatives
• Your funders and/or potential funders
• Local authorities for purposes of visa and immigration
• Accreditation organizations, to assist with research regarding Higher Education
6. How is my personal information used if I am accepted?
If you are accepted, TCMII will use your personal information for the purposes described above and in compliance with the GDPR (EU) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (US).
If you are accepted, TCMII will also return data to accreditation agencies as required.
7. How can I access my personal information?
You have the right to access the personal information that is held about you by TCMII through the Registrar’s office.
You also have the right to ask TCMII to correct any inaccurate personal information held, to delete personal information, or otherwise restrict processing or to receive a copy of the personal information you provided TCMII.
8. How long is my information kept?
TCMII stores your personal information for as long as necessary to complete the application/registration process. If you are successful, your information will be kept as part of your student record for the duration of your studies. If you are unsuccessful, your information will be normally kept for at least one year after the completion of the application process.

• Where relevant, to monitor, evaluate and support your research activity • To administer the financial aspects of your relationship with TCMII and funders • To deliver facilities to you
• To enable your participation at events, e.g. graduation
• To communicate with you effectively via mail, email and phone, including the distribution of relevant newsletters
• To operate security, governance, disciplinary, complaint, and quality assurance processes
• To support your education, medical, safety, and welfare requirements • To compile statistics and conduct research for internal and statutory reporting purposes
• To fulfil and monitor our responsibilities for visa, immigration and public safety legislation
• To enable TCMII to contact others in the event of an emergency
TCMII considers the processing of your personal information for these purposes to be either necessary for the performance of our obligations with you, or necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, or necessary for the pursuit of the legitimate interests of TCMII or an external accreditation organization. This promise outlines the commitment made to alumni, donors and other supporters to ensure our fundraising is legal, open, honest and respectful.
• TCM will comply with the law as it applies to charities and fundraising • We will respect your rights and privacy
• We will manage our resources responsibly and consider the impact of our fundraising on our donors, supporters and the wider public
• If you are unhappy with anything TCM has done while fundraising, you can contact us to make a complaint. We will listen to feedback and respond appropriately to compliments and criticism we receive
